Accommodation is limited. It's often been said, with some justification, that it is easier to get an invitation to the Rhodes Trail Run than it is to find a bed in the village for the weekend.
We are in 'substitution season' and we always suggest that anyone fortunate enough to pick up a substitution try and take over any accommodation as well.
However, the folk at First Ascent and Mountain Hardwear have ensured that camping is a very real and viable option. And a warm comfortable option at that. Drifters Adventure Centre in Sandton City or Drifters Xtreme Sport in Cape Town is the place to go for advice and gear - you can't go wrong with a Mountain Hardwear tent and some First Ascent kit. You'll probably need to gear up with some First Ascent non-summer kit anyway for the run.
