Just a word of thanks for a wonderful Rhodes experience. The snow this year was really special.
I kept thinking that I wished my kids could have been there in the snow with me. Of course, my time would have been slower. Initially trying to run through the snow was tough, and I kept on reminding myself that the other runners will soon catch up to me if I walk to much. When I got through the check-point and ran on the road it was quite an adjustment and had to adapt to the new terrain. I was almost wishing we had gone thru' Hooggenoeg!
I wonder what Rhodes will dish up for next year.
Once again many thanks to you and your team. ~ Trevor Toerien (Winner - 2009)

Thanks again to both of you for a great event - I must say that I found it particularly tough! Thanks again, what a privilege to run in such a spectacular place! ~ Kim vK

Thanks for a great run!!! Really appreciated the effort everyone put into the organisation and presentation of the event! YOU ALL made it special and I certainly appreciate the work that went into it and your meticulous attention to detail, visible in every respect. ~ Rentia D

Thanks so much for another terrific race, perhaps the best to date, at least out of the 10, which I have run. Not only was the race organized to perfection, but you also provided perfect weather and plenty of snow. How could a Rhodes Runner ask for more? This year's race had it all, even starting with terrific chocolate birthday cupcakes! Of course, as in any event of this size thanks should go to others as well, in particular the folks at all the aid stations. It seemed to me that they also surpassed their usual high performance standards. I thoroughly enjoyed the race and hope I remain healthy enough to return next year. July 3rd is marked on my calendar. ~ Peter C

Once again a very big thank you for a fantastic run. I am not usually such a cry baby but gosh i am just so emotional everytime i run your amazing race. Rhodes is my yearly soul cleanser. Such a privilege to run it. Thank you soooo much for giving us that opportunity. ~ Tammy K

Thank you both again for a well organised run through the Drakensburg. It was the toughest Rhodes Trial Run I have run, but we all finished with fantastic and rewarding memories that will live with us for a long time.

From an organisational point of view, very little is said about what effort you both put into this race before the time. When the snow was at its thickest and the storms at its worst, you had to mark the course with flags, transverse from Mavis Bank to Tiffindel on your own without anybody breaking the snow or making a path for you (most probably had to do it twice or even 3 times), but you did it without any hesitation so that we could have a great run.

I just want to thank you both again for all your time and effort you put into this race. ~ Colin B

Just a word of thanks and congrats on another well presented races - I have done 3 races over the past 10 years and every race was on experience on its own !!!!!! ~ Stephen M

What a great great great race you organized. My deepest and sincere thanx again for allowing me to be a substitute and run your race - words fail to say how I enjoyed it... Very tough, but what an experience.... ~ Chris K

Thanks once again for a very well organised and most enjoyable race. It really was great to see so much snow and it is a privilege to be a part of this race . ~ Kevin G

Thank you to you and your helpers for organising a very successful race. From the registration to the post race presentation was excellent. ~ Hans G

Congrats' on organizing a life changing run. It was breathtaking (in more than one way). I was very nervous at the start as it was my first trail run but was soon blown away by the route and the vibe on the run and felt very privileged to be able to be there. Looking back now, it is a blur of memories that is difficult to put into words to somebody that did not share it first hand. For the first time I was hoping the finish line would not come !! ~ Leon B

This was my first Rhodes Run. This was the most memorable run. Toughest race I have done but the most amazing. Everyone was so friendly, from registration right through to the end. Thank you very much and compliment to well organized race. ~ Charlene B

Awesome awesome weekend. Thanks for everything ~ Dean B

What a day in the mountains, hard but great ! Thanks for everything that you and your family do for the Rhodes Trail Run. The organization, as always was excellent. ~ Paul J

Na 'n paar dae van son het ek nou ontdooi. Ek het dit vreeslik geniet, die sneeu was erg, maar tog wonderlik. Hoop ek kan weer eendag die geleentheid kry om te gaan hardloop. ~ Aletta J

Many thanks. A real experience, thanks.
An observation that, perhaps should not go missing, was the appearance and presentation of the SAPS. They were visible, polite and well turned out. Made one proud. ~ Jonathan C

Many thanks for all the fun and the BLUE BULLS enjoyed the race and believe me we were BLUE in that snow. ~ Ina L

Thank you so much for another fantastic race. Darrell thanks for all the chirps from the t-junction...I needed a laugh at that stage. ~ Guillaume N

This was by far the best, but also by far the hardest.
Thank you both for the fantastic weekend, but also to everybody involved, from the food at the hall to the support on the road, the water points, the finish, and even the farm where we stayed, I don't think anybody could ask for a better race.
Once again thank you ~ Glenn T

Thank you for a wonderful Rhodes trail run 2009 that I could be part off.
It was most undescribable race that I ever run and very well organized. Thanks to all the organising staff for their input and effort to make the race possible. ~ Org W

Just a short note to thank you and the "team" for a job well done. Tough circumstances for a race organizer - what an awesome run and what fantastic commitment from the "team"!! ~ Mike & Mariana M

Just a quick email to say thank you so much for a wonderful run. For my first one I was very nervous prior to the start, but would do it again in a heart beat if I could. ~ Hilary P

Thanx for putting together one of the most memorable races I have ever had the privilege to run. I was really afraid of what lay ahead before the race but everything went well (and I only fell 4 times- once on the slope of the mountain towards Mavis Bank and the other 3 times softly in the snow. It was a great joll). God willing I trust to be there next year. ~ Jacques M
