Just a brief message to say thanks so much for all the hard work you put into the Rhodes Marathon. It was certainly one of the best organized and most challenging race in which I have participated. My family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend in Rhodes, one of the prettiest areas in the country. The children also felt good about donating some of their old clothes and toys to the less fortunate, thanks for providing them the opportunity to do so. ~ Dave Vink (Johannesburg)

On behalf of Oxford Striders and particularly Tammy and myself I would like to thank you for an absolutely magnificent event. Tammy and I have been running for 6 years and both agree that this is the most memorable race we have ever had the privilege of running. We had been told many stories by previous Rhodes runners as to what we should expect of the race but one will never fully understand what it is all about until you have actually taken part. It is not just a race, it is an adventure. ~ Pat Kelly (East London)
THANK YOU!! I had the most wonderful experience of my life. My run was wonderful even though it was 100% tougher than what I expected. I bought a very small piece of road in the first 4km of the run, but thanks to all my layers of clothes, I only walked away with a few bruises. Two of your water tables were absolutely fantastic. Those brave helpers in the kloof, smiling even though they were frozen solid. The koeksisters were so delicious and the schnapps so welcome. The table at the top of that hugely horrible hill, old Mavis, ‘the cow', came at just the right time. They were all so helpful which us Joburg people aren't used to. I have never had soup and sammies at any water table at any run. THANK YOU. I did not forget all the other water tables, each and everyone, all the smiles and well dones and cheering on come in very handy on such a trying run. I have never had such a warm welcome coming in the finish, I felt like a winner. ~ Charmain Rowland (Johannesburg)
Many thanks for an excellent run. Since my first run in 1998, everything has become even more organized and entertaining. The food was incredible, helpers and people of Rhodes most friendly and the atmosphere not found at any other ultra marathon. Very well done for an incredible weekend. ~ Quintin Braun (Natal)
