The Choir, comprising 70% police members and police reservists and 30% community members of Rhodes, was created to provide a medium for interaction between the community and police in pursuit of a more peaceful society and to develop relations between the police and public.
Recently the choir sent out an appeal for assistance for the purchase of a much needed keyboard.
The organisers of the Rhodes Trail Run immediately stepped forward and recently presented members of the choir with the funds needed to purchase their keyboard.
"The Rhodes police provide a valuable service throughout the year, and especially over the trail run weekend when the village has over a thousand visitors" said Evie Raubenheimer, Race Director of the Liberty Medical Scheme Rhodes Trail Run "The donation is a token of our appreciation as trail run organisers and also as property owners in Rhodes to Capt Moloisane and his team"
"I wish the Rhodes Police Choir all the best for the competition in East London at the end of the month. I am sure they will do Rhodes proud"
