I hope somebody can help me with this one. I gave my jacket to a guy who was part of a group of spectators on the run to look after. Yes, I know it was a daft thing to do, and that I should have handed it in at a waterpoint, but there we are.
The jacket is a red and grey salomon shell-type jacket, size medium.
The spectators were parked in a group, I think just before the Tiffindell water point where we went offroad for the new trail section. As far as I remember the guy (large, +-50's) said his name was Schalk (Charl?) and he pointed out his bakkie to me. It was a big white one. I feel increasingly stupid even as I type, but he was well intentioned when he took it, and I'm sure it's only the degree of faff involved that has kept him from getting it to the race organisers and thence back to me.
I have spoken to Evie and Darrel, and I have looked amongst the clothes that were collected at the end, and the things that came back from Tiffindell, alas it was not amongst them.
If anyone knows who this group were (friends, family, famers?) and how I might be able to contact any of them, I would be really grateful. Yes, it's just a jacket, I could go and buy another one - but it was a gift and I would be very sad to lose it. (yes, Mother, I know I should have been a bit more careful in the first place!!)
My friend Sharlene lives in Rhodes so getting it back to me is not a problem once it's located.
