Thank you very much Darrell for what you've done to ensure that me and my mate can run this year and for the tip-off on accomodation. We really appreciate it.
Is it possible (on race day) to take us up via a hot air baloon to the top and then serve an english breakfast with crispy bacon?? . We will save a lot of time this way and we can also sleep a little bit later. (Just trying)

There is certainly enough hot air generated over the first few km's at Rhodes to lift a hot air baloon; bring the rig & you'll probably be able to float over Mavis. But, then again would you want to? I'm told that you have to get up real close to Mavis to know her well, with the bonus that you can then also share your 'war stories' after. That's worth an early rise (it's wild trout country after all!).

It's well known that Karel & Brian and their team at the 21km Border Check Point always have a pretty awesome feeding station all set up for you guys - Full English breakfast, who knows? Crispy bacon might test them somewhat though!
